FORTY-FIRST ANNUAL CAMBRIDGE CONFERENCE 2017

TOPIC:

PHENOMENOLOGY OF POLYRELATIONALITY:

THE QUESTION OF CONSCIOUSNESS REVISITED

The 2017 Cambridge Conference will further investigate topics such as the notion of humanity; the human/nonhuman body; the phenomenology of existence and bodily co-existence and polyrelationality; the phenomenology of the natural world; and broadly understood, the hermeneutics of the phenomena of human and nonhuman life and consciousness.

This year the World Phenomenology Institute is launching a new initiative to explore the rich history of phenomenological philosophy by focusing each year on two or three representative thinkers. The upcoming conference will welcome papers on Merleau-Ponty, Patočka, and Levinas whom you may consider in the context of the above listed topics, or you may explore their ideas independent of these topics.
